Heart of a Star Platter

Here's another wild chalcedony platter with a highly reactive core. I imagine the constant series of chemical reaction occurring at the core of a star. Huge bursts of energy that bulge and recede over and over while still managing to remain contained...until it isn't.

Measures 14" in diameter.
